Instructions
  1. Prepare the Caramel: Heat sugar in a pan till it becomes dark brown. Now, carefully add the water and mix. Let it be dark brown. Set aside to cool.
  2. Once the caramel cools down, add the rum and mix. Add dry fruits (not nuts) and mix.
  3. Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees.
  4. Sieve the flour, add baking powder, cardamom powder, clove powder and cinnamon powder. Keep this mix aside.

  5. Now add the nuts to the caramel mix. Sprinkle some extra flour into it and mix well.
  6. Mix the sugar and the butter in a bowl till it is creamy and pale yellow in colour.
  7. Add eggs one by one and mix well.

  8. Now add the flour mix little by little.
  9. Add the fruit mix, cocoa decoction and coffee decoction. Mix well.
  10. Pour the cake mixture in a greased baking pan.
  11. Bake it for 30-40 minutes in pre-heated oven.
  12. Insert a toothpick into the cake to make sure it comes out clean which means it baked well.
  13. After removing the cake from the oven, let it cool down completely.
  14. Now slice as per you desired.
