Bitter gourd, as the name suggests is bitter in taste and hence most of us have kept it away from our daily diet.
But when it is used wisely, it can beat most of the other tasty recipes!
I tried this salad which is taught to me by my brother in law and you know, I was stunned by its taste and became the fan of this dish from the very first time of consuming.
Now I even started including this dish in guest parties as well!

Bitter gourds- 2
Onions – 1 (big) finely chopped
Tomatoes – 1 (big) finely chopped
Green chillies – 3
Vinegar – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Oil for frying
* wash bitter gourds and cut then into round thin slices. Mix with turmeric powder and salt. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
* Deep fry the marinated gourds until golden brown. Put them on a tissue paper as to remove excess oil. Take it in a bowl.
* Add tomatoes, onions and vinegar. Check for salt.
Yummy bitter gourd salad is ready to eat!
Note: This salad should be prepared just before serving as not to lose its crispness.
